Cristiane Santos is stripped of the Strikeforce women’s featherweight
championship after testing positive for an anabolic steroid in the Strikeforce:
Melendez vs. Masvidal post-fight drug test.
Contenders are never determined to compete for the vacant
Strikeforce women’s featherweight championship.
Strikeforce ceases operations and folds on January 13,
2013 after being purchased by UFC parent company Zuffa and ultimately merged
with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
